At the heart of this ‘Wild & Refined Country Garden’ surrounding a thatched villa, this magical outdoor kitchen is quite literally the shining centrepiece. The innovative outdoor bar, recently developed by Garden Vision & OutdoorNL, combines high-end technology with natural materials and adds an almost magical dimension to long summer evenings.
High-quality materials
The eye-catcher is without doubt the translucent quartzite from which the bar is made. For this application we deliberately chose this exceptionally strong natural stone instead of the better-known onyx. Quartzite combines the durability, hardness and weather resistance of granite with the refined look of exclusive marble. Thanks to its rich range of colour tones, the material has an impressive appearance by nature.
Atmospheric LED lighting in natural stone
By daylight the outdoor bar looks like a sculptural work of art, but as soon as evening falls it becomes a surprising spectacle. In the crystallised part of the quartzite the built-in LED lighting becomes visible, making the fine crystal structures of the stone glow subtly. This creates a fascinating contrast with the closed parts of the stone, where the natural patterns and colour nuances remain prominent. The dimmable lighting lets you tune the atmosphere entirely to the moment, from an intimate dinner to a festive barbecue night.
High-end outdoor kitchen with complete outdoor kitchen appliances
Functionally, too, this high-end outdoor kitchen leaves nothing to be desired. The kitchen is equipped with a Big Green Egg, regarded as the king of kamados, complemented by an electric griddle, an integrated sink with outdoor tap and a built-in fridge. A television was elegantly hidden from view in an electric TV lift. Thanks to a clever construction with a water channel, the screen stays protected from wind and weather, while at the push of a button it appears for a sports match or an open-air film night.
Luxury canopy with louvred roof
The electrically adjustable louvres strike a perfect balance between sun, shade and ventilation, while rainwater is discreetly drained through an integrated drainage system. The ceiling was finished using a traditional fresco technique with multiple layers of béton ciré in a warm sand tone. The rear wall also adds to the refined look of the outdoor space. Here we chose luxury outdoor wall covering by Luxcom Outdoor Living Surfaces with a characterful, coarse farmhouse plaster texture (accentuated by the warm LED line) in a soft beige shade. This natural palette blends seamlessly with the warm sand tones of the ceiling and subtly returns in the metal louvres of the canopy, creating a warm and calm overall picture. The materials used are not only aesthetically refined but also highly resistant to moisture and changing weather conditions.
An outdoor kitchen for every season
Fully glazed sliding walls make it possible to regulate the climate beneath the canopy precisely. Especially in the open countryside, where a strong westerly wind often has free rein, they offer valuable protection. On cooler evenings an integrated heater with two heat settings provides pleasant radiant warmth, so the outdoor space stays inviting well beyond the summer season.
The result is an outdoor environment in which luxury and nature form a beautiful whole. A place where innovative technology, artisanal materials and relaxed outdoor living meet, and where the outdoor kitchen is, literally and figuratively, the shining centrepiece.
