In this roof garden, no Delft blue but a green oasis in the heart of Delft, a modern style with an abundance of lush planting. Combined with the carefully selected multi-stemmed trees we placed on the roof, we created a lively and natural atmosphere with many exclusive custom-made elements.
Garden Vision’s extensive experience in constructing roof terraces means it knows how to minimise and optimise the load on a roof. The loadable surface with all desired elements is carefully calculated in advance. To then lift all elements, plants and trees onto the roof efficiently.
The spacious exclusive seating area can accommodate at least ten people and features a unique handmade bench made of durable thermally treated ash wood, with luxurious custom-made outdoor cushions for extra comfort. The two trendy Roly Poly chairs provide a playful contrast to the clean lines of the 4.5m-long wooden bench. The outdoor room offers shelter and shade with the help of a flexible sunroof, equipped with a large stylish sunshade by Sunsquare. The space thus remains inviting even on the hottest days. The large viewing window in the seating area offers a beautiful view of the green treetops of Delft city centre while framing the evening skies beautifully, giving a sense of connection with nature, despite the urban setting.
We made custom-made aluminium planters there that are powder-coated for longer life and a sleek look. The planters that simultaneously act as a balustrade blend seamlessly into a minimalist designed countertop that acts as an outdoor kitchen with kitchen cabinets. A handmade dining bench in thermo ash wood recurs in the dining area. The outdoor kitchen, made by OutdoorNL, is practical, stylish and integrates seamlessly into the design of the roof garden.
We made the sun terrace with loungers using durable Esthec decking. Esthec Terrace is hard-wearing and non-slip in both wet and dry conditions and feels great with bare feet. It has the look of wood but all the advantages of a composite; strong, durable and lightweight. And without the disadvantages of a wooden deck such as cracks, splintering, warping or weathering. Thanks to the screwless fastening, it has a clean look but is hurricane-proof thanks to the clip fastening. Ideal for use on a roof terrace, therefore. For extra comfort and refreshment, a JEE-O outdoor shower has been installed, ideal for warmer days.
At night, this garden is attractively lit with modern Flos lamps on gables and above the dining table. The pin spots and LED strips we expertly installed at the walkways also add an extra dimension to the roof terrace. It gives an atmospheric and inviting effect in the evening.
This rooftop in Delft combines modern style with natural elements, creating a sophisticated, luxurious and functional outdoor space perfect for relaxation in the middle of picturesque Delft.
