On the sixth floor in Amsterdam-Zuid, we realised a truly artistic roof terrace! This rooftop terrace is not only a visual treat, but also an oasis of luxury and wellness. The rooftop terrace offers panoramic views over Amsterdam-Zuid, where the urban skyline blends harmoniously with the serene beauty of the planted greenery. This enchanting setting provides the canvas for an urban garden that is both inviting and inspiring.

A unique element of this roof terrace are the corten steel runners, artfully lasered with the contours of the city of Amsterdam. These artistic paths bring a slice of the city to the rooftop terrace and provide a subtle connection between the urban environment and this exclusive outdoor space. The complex interplay of lines of the lasered contours forms a captivating pattern that forms a magical shadow play both during the day with sunlight and at night with the LED. The runners recur in three places on the space roof terrace, and in each corner the runner leads to a different artistic female sculpture.

In the centre of the terrace, we made this sturdy handmade outdoor kitchen, equipped with a premium Boretti BBQ. This robust kitchen is not only a functional masterpiece with its sink and integrated fridge, but also an aesthetic showpiece, where cooking is elevated to a culinary art form. A dining area has been created under the modern aluminium pergola. With pendant lights, this pergola creates an intimate atmosphere during cosy dinners.

In the corner of this green paradise, we placed an inviting hot tub, where one can enjoy a soothing bath while overlooking the city. For a refreshing experience, we installed an outdoor shower, adding to the wellness feel of this unique rooftopgarden.

The raised planters, made of Corten steel, not only provide a stylish and natural privacy and noise barrier but also act as fall protection. Partially filled with lava for roof loading, we were able to comply with all permits. The steel containers are planted with lush prairie plants and dancing grasses, creating a sense of seclusion without disturbing the open character of the roof terrace. The planting on the roof terrace has been carefully composed and is also maintained by Garden Vision. These plantings not only create a beautiful visual effect, but also promote biodiversity in the urban environment.
