On the 3rd floor of this historic building we turned into a high-end rooftop terrace with breathtaking, panoramic views across Amsterdam. Here, as with the city garden downstairs assumed comfort and exclusivity with quality taking the lead. You enter the roof through a carefully crafted roof structure. The well-thought-out layout makes maximum use of the space. The choice of materials, the indirect lighting and the finish make it an exclusive experience.

On this rooftop, we have put wellness at the centre of our attention. We hoisted a six-seater Spa onto the roof and placed it in a chic Esthec enclosure. The luxurious Sundance Spas, of which we are also a dealer, we have been placing sleek Esthec conversions on a durable Esthec terrace-plane. A logical choice for us because this unique plastic plank has no coefficient of expansion, is free of discolouration, splinter-free and slip-resistant even in wet condition. Last but not least, it is also easy to clean. Esthec planks have a luxurious look of their own and are available in as many as nine different colours and two different widths.

Here, we launched our latest innovation in practice: the ‘electric removable jacuzzi deck’! It sounds almost too good to be true; transforming your garden into a wellness oasis at the touch of a button and closing it again afterwards with one finger for perfect insulation, safety and optimal use of space. That’s bathing in luxury!

The insulated deck keeps the water at a good temperature and clean. You create extra space for seating when the spa is not in use. And fourth benefit that perhaps weighs most heavily is the safe closure of the swimming water to children and/or pets. The control column is keyed so that only authorised people can open or close the deck. The button should be held during operation, ensuring safe operation in addition to the emergency button present. We combined the electric deck with an electric TV lift for a home cinema experience in the Spa. Next to the Esthec staircase, we placed the wine cooler in a marble surround in the same natural stone as the dining table with built-in gas fireplace. (All this furniture we handmade and carefully lifted onto the roof).

We manufacture the natural stone furniture in the same line as the other outdoor furniture in high-quality marble. We selected this quartzite because it is suitable for outdoor use. We chose the Belvedere quartzite in this project because of its marble-like appearance with fine golden veining.

Opposite the hot tub, we placed the matching outdoor shower which we had powder-coated in brass with a luxurious wink. The robust metal pole rows recur throughout the design, and also provide privacy for the outdoor shower. Details like these make the roof garden truly unique.

Finally, the large highlighted Atelier square pots yet additional privacy created. As well as with the raised custom-made steel planters containing the dancing bamboo. Combined with lush grasses and ferns, you will experience the perfect sunset here!
